Bird's Trees
Our feathered friends appreciate these:
Choose a tree in your backyard to decorate.
If you only have a small yard, tie big sticks together,
and "plant" them in a big pot.
Spread pinecones with peanut butter, roll them
in birdseed, and hang on the tree with thread.
Make garlands for the tree; thread a darning
needle, and knot one end.
Thread on peanuts in their shells, cranberries, or millet.
Chunks of coconut or corn can be hung up with
ribbon,
or try making holes in apples, and
studding them with seeds.
Don't forget water! Put some out in a shallow bowl,
but away from the cats.
