Mistletoe Kisses
2 egg whites, at room temperature, with no traces of egg yolk in them (this is very important)

Beat egg whites until soft peaks form, add salt, cream of tartar, flavoring. Gradually add sugar
(to taste) while still beating. When mixture becomes glossy and stiff peaks form when beater is lifted out, stop beating and fold in
chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoonful onto foil-lined cookie sheets. Bake at 250º F for 40 minutes. Remove from oven, cool
5 minutes, then peel off foil and cool completely. (Bonus - clean cookie sheets!) |
