Tortellini Skewers with Pesto Dip

9 oz pkg refrigerated tri-color cheese tortellini
4 unpeeled cloves garlic
1 c mayonnaise
1/4 c grated Parmesan
1/4 c storebought pesto
1/4 c milk
1/8 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp oil, preferably olive 60 grape or cherry tomatoes
6" - long skewers

Cook tortellini according to pkg directions. Heat skillet over medium heat. Add garlic; cook, turning, until skin is browned and garlic is softened, 7 minutes. Cool and peel. In bowl with fork mash until smooth. Stir in mayonnaise, Parmesan, pesto, milk and pepper. Drain tortellini; toss with oil. Alternately thread 3 tortellini and 2 tomatoes on each skewer. Serve with dip.
Makes 30 skewers, each served with 1 Tbsp dip.
