Christmas Day Dinner Rolls

1 Tbsp granular yeast
1 1/2 c warm water
3 c whole wheat flour
3 Tbsp honey
2 Tbsp butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp poultry seasoning
1 tsp onion, minced

Soften yeast in warm water; stir in honey, salt, melted butter, and egg. Add 2 cups flour, poultry seasoning, and onion; beat well; stir in remaining flour, enough to make a light dough. Knead about 5 minutes until dough is light and elastic. Let rest 15 minutes. Shape into rolls; allow to rise in warm place until double in bulk. Brush tops with glaze of 1 egg yolk beaten with 1 Tbsp water. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes. Serve piping hot from the oven.
Makes 3 dozen.
